The Nagaland Information Commission has imposed a fine of Rs.10,500 each on the PIOs of Directorate of Soil and Water Conservation, Office of the Chief Engineer PHE Department and Office of the Chief Engineer PWD (Housing) for failing to provide information to Nagaland Govt Registered Class-I Contractors' Union on time.Delivering its judgement on an appeal filed by the Union, the Commission on Wednesday directed the PIO of Directorate of Soil and Water Conservation to pay the amount as penalty for not furnishing information and for the delay of 42 days at Rs.250 per day.
