HP CIC asks officials to ensure smooth implementation of RTI

Himachal Pradesh Chief Information Commissioner P S Rana today asked officials to provide information under Right to Information Act in a time-bound manner. Addressing a meeting of officials here, the CIC asked the head of the departments to appoint Informatin Officers and Assistant Information Officers for smooth functioning of RTI. He told officials that information sought has to be provided within 30 days failing which the IO would be penalised
