J&K RTI: Governor forced to sign weak RTI ammendment bill

Criticized and ridiculed by RTI crusaders across the country, Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Amendment Bill-2007 has been assented to by Governor S.K.Sinha for implementation in the state, under intriguing circumstances. Official sources confirmed that the assented bill has been received by the law department on Friday for being notified in the official gazette.
