Mizoram is moving towards full implementation of the Right to Information Act, according to an official statement issued by the Zoramthanga government yesterday.
The Mizoram government has so far appointed 290 state assistant public information officers, 139 state public information officers and eight first appellate authorities and/or departmental appellate authorities. The names and addresses of these officers can be seen in the records of the directorate of information and public relations, the nodal department.
