Ranchi, July 12: The state information commission has allocated responsibilities and regions to information commissioners so that cases can be cleared quickly.
The six information chiefs in Jharkhand, including the chief, have been allocated one division each and told to clear all cases in that region irrespective of what government departments they relate to.

“Such division of work was done to ensure that cases are disposed of faster and smoother,” said Mishra, also the spokesperson of the information commission. “This method would enable a commissioner to handle the cases in a particular region.” If the chief info commissioner feels overburdened, he can assign jobs to deputies, he added.
